"Queen's Gambit"
During a trip to Paris in 2016, I was in awe of the wondrous Versailles...but, I, also, looked out at the checkered courtyard and imagined a giant chess game(I’m sure I’m not the first). I took the photograph that I would end up using for the backdrop of this painting. A story of two “queens” and their “game”.
