My 18 year old has graduated and is applying to college. With that, as a mother, I feel I’m moving from one phase of life to another. There is grief and excitement for this new chapter. In this painting, I’m saying goodbye and grieving the phase of motherhood that has been, for the most part, been extremely wonderful experience! I’m, also, looking forward to what’s to come with hope and anticipation. I know there is going to be amazing things waiting through the door of what’s yet to be...passage from one place to the next.
